When Julie Pfirsch was 5 years old and was asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, she replied she wanted to be a dog.  She has since re-evaluated her life goals and decided to paint dogs instead, finding her niche as a pet portrait artist.

Julie studied Fine Art at Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio where she earned a BFA with an emphasis in oil painting.  She began her career in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, showing her art in various galleries and cafes before moving to San Francisco to enjoy the West Coast.  After four fun years of California living, Julie returned home to Pittsburgh with her husband, Josh, and their dog, Mosby.  They recently welcomed their new human, Brooks, to their family.  He's a pretty cool baby.

**At this time I am no longer accepting commissioned artwork requests.  Please check back in the future.**
